What does Renovatio mean?
‘RENOVATIO’ a classical Latin word for renewal, revive or restore.
The latin pronunciation : “Ren-o-vaa-tee-o”
Renovatio’s history & heritage dates back to the early 1800’s settlers and is home to the original Uitvlugt farmhouse built over 100 years ago in 1883 around the time when Vereeniging was newly established as a small town.
Having being restored to its former glory, the farmhouse, chapel and parts of the Renovatio Banqueting Hall features the original sandstone structures as they were built in 1883 – hence the name RENOVATIO.
The entire Uitvlugt area in Midvaal was once a single farm called Uitvlugt with a single farmhouse. The sandstone farmhouse still stands and is at the heart of Renovatio River Estate where the Bridal Suite and Lounge area is located.
Who are we?
Established in 2009 as an Event and Wedding Venue, Renovatio River Estate is run and owned by Michele and Willie van Rensburg who are not only musicians but they both have music and event management experience.
Michele has years of conferencing and event planning experience from her corporate days as a Digital Marketing Specialist, Business Development Manager and General Manager in various industries and has been involved in many festivals, events and fundraisers.
Today she is an experienced and fully certified Wedding Floristry & Wedding Floral Stylist providing wedding styling and wedding planning guidance.
